Has anyone done that ride lately? Are there ways around the construction if I’m willing to do some off-roading? How is the camping situation?
Hi @windbreaker… There’s been a ton of discussion about this recently on the Unpaved Google group (which I highly recommend for route information BTW) - From what I’ve heard it’s possible to ride through the work zone (limited hours with caution) and the detour isn’t horrible

Good advice on unpaved, thanks! I was subscribed for a while but got off after a long and pointless thread about “real” riders. Good time to get back on. 
I loved riding on it last year.
