Concrete blocks added to Marine Drive path

With the daylight hours getting short, and the evening commute now in the dark, I thought I’d share that PBOT (or someone else) has dropped several very large concrete blocks onto the Marine Drive path between NE 158th and the Marina (where the path crosses over to the no-go zone by the camps). These blocks have absolutely no markings on them, reflective or otherwise, and most of them are blocking the majority of the path. This seems like an attempt to prevent people from driving on the path, which is a good thing. The execution, however, is crude and dangerous.

I haven’t ventured further west to see if additional blocks have been dropped, but it is possible.

Wait, you’re not allowed to drive on a bike path? Crazy talk. Isn’t that discriminatory to the unhoused? How can they get to their homes?
