Something to keep in mind when you hear of bicycle vs car incidents is that when they’re vagrancy related incidents, outrageous conducts are often involved.
There’s an illegal encampment along the Sunset Highway exit 73… Some of them have taken to riding their bike down hill in the Sunset Highway shoulder from the Zoo after using CriMet MAX to get there.
I say the non-enforcement is an additional hazard, because if the City, County and ODOT actually enforced “no camping” in outrageous places, there would be no bicycle traffic in middle of the night going down Sunset highway.
